Beginning in January of 1930, Ernst Pfeiffer (1890-1979), the Dutch General Church minister in The Hague, started publishing their doctrinal discussions in a monthly Dutch magazine, De Hemelsche Leer (The Heavenly Doctrine), which was "Devoted to the Doctrine of Genuine Truth out of the Latin Word Revealed by the Lord."
The three leading theses (a.k.a. The Hague position) discussed in the Dutch magazine, De Hemelsche Leer (The Heavenly Doctrine) are:
These three leading theses (a.k.a. The Hague position) became cornerstone beliefs for the establishment of The Lord’s New Church Which is Nova Hierosolyma, and continue to be cornerstone beliefs for the Church today.
* NOTE:
The first thesis in the Dutch magazine, De Hemelsche Leer (The Heavenly Doctrine) did not have any reference numbers. In 2025, three reference numbers were added to the end of the first thesis in "[ ]", because each one explains that only Books that have an internal sense can be part of the Word.

Here are brief quotes from the three added reference numbers that support the first thesis of De Hemelsche Leer (The Hague Position)....:
A.C. 10325:
"10325. The Books of the Word are all those which have an internal sense; but those which have not an internal sense are not the Word."
NJHD 266:
266. What are the Books of the Word.
The Books of the Word are all those which have the internal sense; but those books which have not an internal sense, are not the Word.
White Horse 16:
16. What are the Books of the Word. The Books of the Word are all those which have an internal sense; but those which have not an internal sense are not the Word.
The three leading theses (a.k.a. The Hague position) discussed in the Dutch magazine, De Hemelsche Leer (The Heavenly Doctrine) are:
- The Writings of Emanuel Swedenborg are the Third Testament of the Word of the Lord. The DOCTRINE OF THE NEW JERUSALEM CONCERNING THE SACRED SCRIPTURE must be applied to the three Testaments alike [cf A.C. 10325, NJHD 266, W.H. 16 ]*
- The Latin Word without Doctrine is as a candlestick without light, and those who read the Latin Word without Doctrine, or who do not acquire for themselves a Doctrine from the Latin Word, are in darkness as to all truth (cf. S. S. 50-61).
- The genuine Doctrine of the Church is spiritual out of celestial origin, but not out of rational origin. The Lord is that Doctrine itself (cf. A. C. 2496, 2497, 2510, 2516, 2533, 2859; A. E. 19).
These three leading theses (a.k.a. The Hague position) became cornerstone beliefs for the establishment of The Lord’s New Church Which is Nova Hierosolyma, and continue to be cornerstone beliefs for the Church today.
